Leaf cutter reeds usually contain 5 to 10 mason bee cocoons per reed. We have not opened these reeds, so qty of bees per reed varies. Leaf cutter bees over winter as larvae and need to set out in spring and then require a period of warm weather to develop into fully formed bees. These bees usually hatch in July here and are good pollinators of summer garden vegetables, flowers,etc.
